Dave Rodgers or Giancarlo Pasquini, the man behind eurobeat, if you don't know him then you don't know eurobeat. Why, you ask? The list of reasons is rather endless, and trying to sum up all of his credits in this field of music would take a long time, so I'll just briefly tell a few tidbits about this famous musician. It was the year 1990, Giancarlo Pasquini had been working with music for a long time and he had been featured on many popular italo-eurobeat era acts like Aleph. Beat Freak had begun a series called Super Eurobeat, and Avex was adopting this album series under it's wing, and asked Dave to join the series, and it was then when he put up his widely known and respected record-label A-Beat C. The label joined the other oldschool label Time Records, on the compilation series and from there on Dave's career just became more of a legend in the eurobeat world.
Dave has worked under multiple aliases and he has also produced a vast amount of eurobeat, as a matter of a fact most of the songs released under A-Beat C have been produced by Dave, so his merits indeed are really endless. His most popular alias has been clearly Dave Rodgers, the name that most people identify as eurobeat itself. The style that Dave created for eurobeat and his songs have influenced the other labels so much that it's easy to say that his role in the eurobeat world is undeniable. The title Dave Rodgers is a brand of it's own and the catchy songs he has performed are pieces of the eurobeat history. You'll surely recognize titles like Space Boy, Deja Vu, The Race Is Over, Kingdom Of Rock, Fevernova, Let's Go To The Show, Sun City, Wheels Of Fire, Milan Milan Milan or 100. The amount of classic catchy eurobeat songs that he has released under Dave just goes on.
